FCC ANNOUNCES PANELISTS FOR NOV. 30 FIELD HEARING AT MIT ON ENERGY AND THE ENVIRONMENT

Panels on Smart Grid Communications and the Energy Information Economy will be featured at the Federal Communications Commission’s field hearing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on how broadband can help the nation achieve its energy and environmental goals. Several companies will also be exhibiting consumer-oriented technology related to energy management and efficiency. The full list of panelists and companies providing technology demonstrations is below. The hearing and exhibits are open to the public.

Broadband and the Energy Information Economy Panel Slated to speak on the energy information panel is Dan Johnson founder of Verisae. Back in 2000, and since that time, he has led the company as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Johnson has a deep insight into current energy management issues and the technology solutions to drive energy innovation.

The FCC is convening a series of hearings to promote an open dialogue between the FCC and the public on development of a National Broadband Plan.
